Following a recent Ofsted inspection South Essex College has been awarded a grade 2 – 'good' - a significant milestone for the education and training provider as well as the wider community.
Inspectors' findings across the College's sites in Basildon, Southend and Thurrock makes South Essex College one of only a few all-round further education providers to be recognised as ‘good’ in Essex.
The report in particular recognised improvements the College has made to its provision and outcomes for students.
The report highlighted:
Principal and Chief Executive of the College, Angela O’Donoghue CBE, said: "This grade is a result of the hard work and dedication of our staff and students".
"The grade 2 better reflects our position as the College that strives to provide a positive learning environment for our students so they can learn, grow and achieve their ambitions".
