Have you been held back in your career by not having a degree? Do you want to progress to management but don't have the confidence? Did you mess up your A-levels and want a second chance to get to university? If so, this is the course for you!

This course is for those wishing to enter higher education in preparation for a future career in a business career or self-employment. It covers: marketing, economics, the business environment, human resources and leadership in addition to the skills needed to be successful in a higher education environment.

How will my work be assessed?

Your work will be assessed by a mixture of assessment methods which include coursework and examinations.

What can I do after this?

You can progress onto degree programmes at college or university, including our BA (Hons) Business Studies degree programme at the Southend Campus.

Many universities require GCSE maths and English, or equivalent qualifications. It is worth checking what qualifications you require with the university or college you wish to progress to.

As part of the interview process, you will need to complete a short computer-based assessment in maths and English to show you are working at level 2.
