Studio visit inspires Games students

Games Design students paid a visit to BAFTA award winning company, Bossa Studios UK.

Third year BSc (Hons) Games Design students at University Centre South Essex spent the day at the organisation’s London offices.

Bossa Studios UK won a BAFTA in 2012 in the online browser category for their game, Monstermind.

Students were treated to a private tour of Bossa’s games design hub. They also got to meet a range of employees and gain an insight into the working environment of a studio.

The group of students were lucky to be involved in a play test activity, road testing a game in development and giving feedback to the team before its release.

James Illingworth, Games Design student, said: “It was a fantastic opportunity, the visit inspired the group. Being given the chance to test a pre-release product was great.”

Rama Maccha, Programme Leader for BSc Games Design, said: “It was an amazing experience for our students, to be given a chance to play and test a game in the development stages was truly inspiring for all involved.”
