Course Overview

The Engineering Pathway is designed for learners interested in careers such as aerospace engineering, robotics, or wider engineering disciplines. Delivered through the Academy of Advanced Technology at South Essex Colleges Group, this pathway combines academic rigour with practical learning in a diverse and dynamic environment.

You will study the core A level subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, developing the knowledge and problem solving skills essential for progression into university or technical engineering careers. Learning takes place in industry standard laboratories and workshops, using state of the art facilities that reflect real world engineering practice.

Entry Requirements

5 GCSEs at Grade 5 or above including Maths (Higher Paper) English Language and Science.

Assessment and Feedback

You will be assessed by coursework, formal examinations and practical assessments.

Fees and Funding

This course is free to UK learners under 19 who are not in employment

Future study/career options

A Levels provide students with a traditional pathway to university and offer prospective employers the higher level qualifications they look for. These can be pursued at sixth form school or sixth form college. A Levels are a traditional academic way of studying and progression tends to lead into degree and higher education studies.
