Course Overview

The iStudy Event Planning Level 2 Certificate (Online) supports you to develop an understanding of how events are planned, delivered and reviewed. Delivered through distance learning with online workshops via Microsoft Teams, this course is suitable if you are interested in planning events for personal or professional purposes and want a structured introduction to the field.

During the course, you can learn how events are planned from start to finish, including reviewing and evaluating their success. Learning explores the practical steps involved in organising events, helping you understand how objectives are set, plans are managed and outcomes are assessed. You will also explore marketing and market research for events, learning how audiences are identified and how events are promoted effectively. The course introduces you to planning human resources for events, alongside communication and customer service skills needed when working with clients, suppliers and attendees. This course offers flexible online learning with guided workshops to support your progress.

By the end of the course, you will have developed a clearer understanding of event planning processes and transferable skills that support progression into further study or roles where planning, organisation and communication are important.

Entry Requirements

To study this course, you must provide one of the following forms of identification: Valid in-date passport (any nationality), Signed in-date UK photocard driving licence, UK biometric residence permit card, Birth certificate (BUT, if a birth certificate is presented as proof of identification, an additional form of identification such as a signed bank card, utility bill or a letter issued by a government department must also be provided).

Assessment and Feedback

You will be assessed on this course through the completion of online modules. As this is a fully online course, you will need good organisational skills and are encouraged to commit around 2 to 3 hours of study per evening to complete the programme within the 6 week timescale. You will need access to an internet enabled desktop or laptop computer and an active email account. Please note that this course is not compatible with tablets or smartphones.

Fees and Funding

This course is fully funded and free for learners aged 19 or over who are currently living in England and meet the eligibility and entry criteria. Please note that funding rules are occasionally subject to change. Please note that we can only offer this course for free if it is completed within 6 weeks. If you start the course and do not complete within this time you will incur a £125 administration fee to cover the costs involved in your sign up. However, providing you do 2-3 hours study per night we are confident that you will complete within the 6 week timeframe.
