Course Overview
This course has been designed with employers to give you the ideal start to a career in engineering and manufacturing and specialise in maintenance, installation and repair for engineering and manufacturing (Mechatronic Route). Equivalent to three A Levels, this course will give you a strong general understanding of engineering and theoretical understanding of the mechatronics sector. As with all T level courses, you will spend 80% of your time learning in our industry-standard facilities and 20% gaining valuable work experience on a relevant industry placement.
This qualification will help you gain an understanding of the engineering industry and the sector and you will cover topics such as:
- Maintenance, installation and repair requirements
- Fault detection and diagnosis
- Isolation and resolution methods
- Communication for maintenance, installation and repair activities
- Mechatronics
This T Level provides a strong platform for progression into further engineering study at university level, apprenticeships or directly into employment
To study this course, you will need four GCSEs at grade 4 (grade C) or above. This must include English and Maths at a grade 5 (grade B). Applicants must also attend the interview successfully as part of the entry process.
Students may also progress from a relevant Level 2 qualification.
This course is free to UK learners under 19 who are not in employment.
