Staff follow a Code of Conduct and the Safeguarding Team train staff members to make sure they are updated with legislations. We have excellent links with the local police to ensure safety of all our students and staff when on campus.
Tolerance
Tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs
We have an enrichment and tutorial programme that celebrates diverse faiths and beliefs.
Our colleges offer an inclusive environment which provides education to a diverse student population and staff work force.
Democracy
A student representative is elected onto the Groups Board of Governors.
We also have student representative positions for each course area, they meet regularly and drive the learner voice forward. The representatives have input into change and can raise issues with Senior Leaders. Every student and apprentice at our colleges have the opportunity to complete satisfaction surveys on their experience, the collated responses triggers change throughout the Group.
Individual liberty
We offer a strong enrichment programme which celebrates difference.
We are committed to equality and diversity and run “Freedom to be yourself” campaigns, there are also student representatives on the colleges' Equality and Diversity Board.
Mutual respect
Our colleges' values and Behaviour Policy are based on respect.
We recently held an excellent Learner Voice Conference which brought all student representatives together, they were able to share their own ideas in a respectful environment.
