2026 Graduation Event details

Our 2026 ceremony will take place at The Cliffs Pavilion on Wednesday 14 October.

On the evening, the proceedings will commence at 6pm. Robing and photography will start from 3.30pm. You must arrive no later than 5.15pm in order to take part in the Ceremony. Please allow sufficient time for your journey and any potential delays. The ceremony will start promptly at 6pm and cannot be delayed for late arrivals. If you arrive after 5.15pm, we may not be able to allow you to take part in the ceremony.

We expect the ceremony to finish at approximately 8pm (please do allow for the ceremony to run over). Light refreshments and drinks will be available to purchase from the bar area on the evening.

Graduation brochure

Our graduation brochure contains information about this year's ceremony, including the Honorary Graduate, lists of all HE and special awards, and details of photography & filming.

You can download the 2026 Graduation brochure on the day to help guide you through your celebrations.

Please note

  1. Every graduating student MUST wear a gown for the ceremony.
  2. To graduate a gown must be hired from Ede & Ravencroft, our gowning suppliers. The costs are as follows:
    1. Bachelor’s / First Degrees: £47.00
    2. PGCE: £53.00
  3. That a surcharge may be applied to gown orders submitted after the published deadline. The deadline for ordering gowns is Friday 18th September 2026.

Dress code

We recommend a smart casual dress code (no jeans or trainers) and suggest that a blouse or button-down shirt would be suitable, as the robe requires a button to fix on to at the front of your outfit. Regarding footwear, please bear in mind you will be walking upstairs onto the stage when you collect your certificate.

Photography

Professional photographers will be present on the day to capture your achievement, so you can look back on this special moment with pride.
