The Music Performance and Production Level 1 Diploma supports you to explore music, performance and production through practical, hands‑on learning. It is suitable if you are interested in performing, producing or working behind the scenes in music and live events, and want a supportive introduction before progressing to further study.
During the course, you can take part in a wide range of performance and production activities linked to college performances, productions, events and external live briefs. Learning focuses on helping you understand how music performances are planned, rehearsed, produced and delivered for different audiences and settings. You will develop skills across both performance and production, including communicating with an audience, developing performance techniques and understanding the basics of music and production processes. You will also learn how research is used to inform creative work and support the development of ideas and projects.
