Course Overview
This immersive course offers a focused and specialised introduction to three dimensional art and design. It is suited to learners who want to explore how ideas are generated, developed and communicated across different scales and design contexts.
You will study visual recording, research, idea development, drawing and model making, supported by hand rendered presentation techniques and computer generated design work. Areas of study include architecture, interior and theatre design, product and furniture design, materials and processes, 3D craft and jewellery.
Maths and English form part of the overall programme, supporting progression to higher education.
To study this course, you will need Level 2 qualification or GCSEs x 4 at grade 4/C - one to be grade 4/C in ENGLISH OR MATHS dependent on vocational subject to be studied.
You will be asked to provide evidence of your ability in the subject which could be in the form of a portfolio. You will need to have successful attendance at interview event at the college.
