The Level 4 Award for Domestic Retrofit Assessors supports you to develop advanced knowledge and skills needed to work as a Domestic Retrofit Assessor within the construction industry. 

It is suitable if you are interested in progressing into this role or if you already work in construction and want to upskill and specialise in domestic retrofit assessment. During the course, you can develop a clear understanding of the domestic retrofit process and the responsibilities of a Retrofit Assessor. Learning focuses on how existing homes are assessed to identify energy performance, fabric condition and suitability for retrofit measures, supporting the delivery of low‑carbon and energy‑efficient improvements.

The course builds on existing retrofit knowledge and is particularly relevant if you are working as, or training to become, a Retrofit Advisor and want to progress into a more specialist assessment role. You will explore how assessments inform retrofit design and installation, and how accurate, compliant assessment supports safe, effective and coordinated retrofit delivery.
