Planning your next steps

Our qualified Careers Coaches provide personalised careers education, information, advice and guidance (CEIAG) through one-to-one appointments and group workshops. We support students at all levels, from entry courses to Level 4, helping you develop their skills, explore career options and progress into education, training or employment. Our service is designed to empower you to make informed decisions and achieve your personal and professional goals.

Our careers programme

As a student, you'll have access to a dedicated Careers Programme designed to help you develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed to achieve your goals. The Careers Programme is designed to align with the Gatsby Benchmarks, which are as follows:

Your careers interview

During a careers interview, your Careers Coach will help you identify your strengths, skills, personal qualities and interests, while discussing any challenges that may affect your future plans. Together, you will explore career options, progression routes and the steps needed to achieve your goals. The guidance provided will help you make informed decisions about your education, training and career pathway.

Developing your employability skills

We can help you develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in the workplace. Through workshops, tutorials and one-to-one support, you'll learn how to create effective CVs, complete job applications, prepare for interviews and improve your job-search skills. Our Careers Coaches will equip you with the knowledge and tools needed to confidently take your next steps towards employment.

Apprenticeship support

Choosing an apprenticeship allows you to earn while you learn, gaining valuable workplace experience alongside a recognised qualification. With support from expert tutors, industry mentors and a wide range of apprenticeship opportunities, you can develop the skills, knowledge and confidence needed for your future career.

Higher education support

If you're considering university or higher education, we can support you throughout the application process. Through workshops and one-to-one guidance, you'll receive help with researching courses, writing your personal statement and completing student finance applications, giving you the confidence to take the next step towards achieving your career goals.

Your future after higher education

We can support you as you prepare for life after graduation. Whether you're moving into employment, further study or professional training, we can help you plan your next steps and achieve your career goals.
