Support at UCSE
Whether you would like to speak to someone directly, explore resources in your own time, or receive more structured support through our HE Wellbeing and Support Team, we are here to guide you. The sections below will help you understand your options and take the next step with confidence.
Assistance from the HE Wellbeing and Support Team
If you would like to speak to someone directly, our HE Wellbeing and Engagement Facilitators are here for you. They can offer you wellbeing 1:1’s, referrals to specialist support services and signposting to other members of the HE Support team.
You are not expected to manage everything on your own. Whatever you are facing, there is support available, and we are here to help you move forward with confidence.
Taking care of your mental health is just as important as your academic progress. Seeking support is a sign of strength, not weakness, and can make a real difference to your experience at college.
Reaching out is a positive step, and you will be supported along the way.
We also offer our students 24/7 support via the Wisdom App. Students can reach out for advice and speak to a trained counsellor 365 days per year. They can also access a full course of solution-focussed counselling as well as a range of other support. All students will be provided with a code to access the App, if you haven’t received the code please contact HESupport@southessex.ac.uk
Our HE Wellbeing and Engagement Facilitators also arrange a variety of pop ups and mini events to mark awareness days and to help you during key times such as deadline and exam periods.’
