This course provides a broad introduction to engineering, exploring modelling, simulation and prototyping using industry-standard software and techniques. Aligned to the Engineering Manufacturing Technician occupational standard, it prepares you for employment or progression to an HND or degree.

To study this programme, you will need the following:

  • BTEC Level 3 qualification in Engineering or related subject or A Levels (preferably Maths/Science/Engineering)
  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above
  • Access to Higher Education Diploma or relevant work experience
  • International equivalent qualifications accepted

You will be assessed through:

  • Continuous internal weekly formative assessment/coursework (no formal exams)
  • Coursework-based assignments (one Pearson-set project)

The cost of this course is £3,260 for 2027 entry (student loan subject to eligibility).
