Course Overview

The International Freight Forwarding Specialist Level 3 Apprenticeship supports you to develop the knowledge, skills and experience needed to work within the international logistics and freight forwarding sector. It is suited to those working in, or looking to progress within, a fast‑moving industry that manages the movement of goods across global supply chains.

Learning focuses on core areas such as international freight movements, customs procedures, freight costing, business finance and customer service, helping you understand how secure and efficient supply chains are managed to meet client needs.

As the programme develops, you will follow a specialist pathway that reflects your employer’s area of operation. This allows you to focus on air freight, ocean freight or road freight, building deeper knowledge and practical understanding of the systems, regulations and processes used within your chosen area of the industry. The apprenticeship combines workplace learning with structured training, allowing you to apply your skills directly in a real working environment.

By the end of the programme, you will have developed a strong understanding of international freight forwarding and the professional behaviours required within the logistics sector, supporting progression within your organisation and the wider industry.
