Have you gone on to a career that uses your qualification or did you follow a different pathway? What are you doing now?
Access to Higher Education Art and BA (Hons) Graphic Design and Illustration
I began with an Access to Higher Education Art and Design course, which gave me the opportunity to explore different creative disciplines. That year helped me confirm that graphic design was the right choice for me and gave me the confidence to continue onto the degree.
T Level in Digital Support Services
I was also really impressed with the college when I attended open days. The tutors were approachable and supportive, and the facilities stood out, especially the high-spec computers and networking equipment. It felt like the right place to learn and prepare for the industry.
Level 3 Diploma in Media Television and Film Production, and the BA (Hons) Film and Television Production
When choosing where to study, I visited a number of colleges and universities, but Southend stood out to me. The facilities, equipment and tutors made a strong impression, and hearing about my sibling’s positive experience at the college gave me further confidence that it was the right place for me.
BND Moving Image and BA (Hons) Television Production and Screen Media
One of the most important aspects of my time at college was having the space to develop my passion. The supportive and relaxed environment helped me focus and grow, while also allowing me to build lasting friendships.
Access to Art and Design and BA (Hons) Fine Art
One of the most important moments for me during the degree was realising that I could build a new career, even in my mid-40s. That understanding was life changing. It gave me the confidence to take my work seriously and think about what I could achieve.
Level 3 Interactive Digital Media
My confidence has grown significantly during her studies. I was recognised for my hard work and achievements, including winning awards such as ‘Who Wants to Be an Entrepreneur’ and Student of the Year in Business and Logistics. These experiences have helped reinforce my belief in my abilities and motivated me to keep progressing.
Access to HE Business Management
I would definitely recommend South Essex Colleges Group. The course was easy to access, the college is convenient to travel to and the tutors were supportive and approachable throughout. Having access to the right resources and guidance made a real difference to my experience.
Childcare and Education (Early Years Educator) Level 3 Technical Diploma
“I would recommend SECG because the opportunities you have to take you on the right path are brilliant.”
